Get a Voice Over Quote for Your Project

Thank you for considering me for your project! I'm excited to assist with your voice over needs.

Below are several downloadable voice over rate sheets for the genres I currently work in. They will be updated over time to reflect current GVAA pricing and for any future genres I may eventually work in.

To provide an accurate quote for your project, I'm going to need very specific information regarding your project and its intended usage.

Voice over rates are quoted based on the following five factors:

1. Genre: What is the project type? (e.g., commercial, narration, explainer)

2. Length: What is the word count and/or estimated duration of the recording?

3. Usage: How will the project be used (TV, radio, web) and what is its scope (local, national, worldwide)? Will it receive paid placement?

*This is the most important factor. I cannot accurately quote without this information. Click here to learn why.

4. Duration of Use: How long will the voice over be used? (e.g., 3 months, 6 months, 1 year)

5. Budget: Please notate the budget you have in mind for your project.

All quotes are based on the GVAA Rate Guide, which is considered to be the industry standard for non-union US voice over rates.

Thank you for understanding. Let's achieve your goals!

Frequently Asked Questions About Voice Over Rates

From length and audience to usage and licensing, every voice over project is different. These FAQs help clarify how voice over rates are determined and what to expect when working with me.

Q: How are your voice over rates determined?
A: Rates depend on the five factors listed above (Genre, Length, Usage, Duration of Use, and Budget). For example, a short internal video will be priced differently from a national broadcast ad. I follow GVAA industry-standard rates to keep pricing fair and transparent.

Q: Do you charge extra for usage rights?
A: Yes. Rates for broadcast, paid digital, and long-term usage are typically higher than internal or non-broadcast work, and are included in the total quote. All usage rights and job rates are clearly defined upfront before any recording begins.

Q: What’s included in your standard rate?
A: My rate includes one edited and broadcast-quality voice over file, recorded in my sound treated home studio.

Q: Do you offer bulk or ongoing project discounts?
A: For bulk (3 or more projects) or ongoing projects, I apply a 10% discount to your total order.

Q: How fast can you deliver voice overs?
A: Turnaround depends on the scope of your project, but I’m known for delivering clean, polished audio quickly and reliably. If you’ve got a tight timeline, I’ll make sure your production stays on track.
